Structural Steel Estimator
A structural steel estimator is responsible for accurately costing all structural steelwork associated with construction or manufacturing projects. This will involve working closely with architects, engineers, and construction managers to identify the type, quantity, and quality of steel required for each project. Major Responsibilities/Activities: Prepare pricing estimates, including developing a takeoff of all material and labor required for the project. This takeoff will be combined with outside vendor pricing to produce a complete project cost estimate Work with outside vendors to request and receive project-specific pricing to meet firm deadlines Coordinate with operations and outside vendors on how the job is to be built in bo
