Our well-established mid-size engineering firm in Albuquerque is looking for a motivated and visionary Senior Traffic Engineer who has the potential to grow into a leadership role over the next two to three years. This position is a key opportunity to step into a senior role and lead the expansion of our traffic engineering division as we prepare for the transition of our current senior engineer towards retirement.

Qualifications:

• Significant experience in traffic engineering, with a strong foundation in leadership.
• Proficiency in traffic engineering software and tools.
• Strategic planning and business development skills, with room to further develop these areas.
• Excellent mentoring and team management capabilities.
• Eligibility to obtain registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of New Mexico.

• Complete and submit Traffic Impact Studies and related transportation studies.
• Review and approve studies conducted by other engineers.
• Train and develop junior traffic engineers to achieve professional competency.
• Expand the department's capabilities and revenue through new projects, services, and RFPs.
• Scale the department to meet growing demands, overseeing 2-3 full-time traffic engineers with potential for further expansion.
