Job Description:
The Business Analytics and Actuarial Science Department of Siena College is seeking a candidate to fill a tenure-track position starting with the Fall 2024 semester. Candidates with expertise in the area of business analytics and information systems are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching primarily at the undergraduate level with opportunities at the graduate level as the program grows; conducting research in any area of analytics (broadly defined); and providing service to the college, school of business, and department. Teaching may include, but is not limited to, business analytics, information systems, statistics, data mining, database management, machine learning, artificial intelligence, big data, operations management, etc.
Annual Salary:
$93,180 for a hire with a terminal degree $57,790 for hire with a master’s level degree *The hiring salary above represents the College’s good faith estimate at the time of posting in compliance with the Albany County Salary Transparency Law.
Requirements:
The applicant must have a Ph.D. (or hold ABD with the expected degree completion by the time of appointment) in business analytics, statistics, or a related discipline. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply, though we particularly encourage applications from candidates with experience in teaching or a professional career. Preference will be given to applicants with teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level. Candidates with the ability to teach in the areas of analytics, applied statistics or data mining with a focus on business applications are especially attractive.
