Research Soil Scientist/Agricultural Engineer/Hydrologist
The incumbent is a Research Soil Scientist/Agricultural Engineer/Hydrologist in a multi-disciplinary program at the National Soil Erosion Research Laboratory (NSERL), West Lafayette, Indiana. Incumbent’s research program aims to determine the impact of hydrologic and biogeochemical processes on soil erosion, water quality (including nutrient and sediment transport), carbon sequestration, agricultural productivity, GHG emissions, and/or ecosystem services. Specific objectives are: 1) Use soil physical, chemical and biological analyses to quantify changes in soil loss and/or quality at multiple spatial and temporal scales as a function of management, climate, and soil type; 2) Elucidate mechanisms in which soil loss and/or quality impacts agricultural productivity and environmental qualit
