Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has an exciting full-time position available for an electrical engineer.  Responsibilities include designing electrical power, lighting, and fire alarm /mass notification systems associated with, public and/or commercial buildings; preparing plans and specifications of electrical systems for bidding and construction; and providing construction administration services related to electrical systems. Some travel may be required.

The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical or architectural (with an electrical emphasis) engineering; AND at least two years of relevant experience (such as lighting, power distribution, fire detection and alarm systems, and/or electrical construction standards).

The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:

• Experience designing low and medium voltage power distribution, lighting and controls, and fire alarm systems
• Experience preparing engineering and construction documents
• Knowledge of codes, statutes, and laws related to building design and construction
• familiarity/experience with: Revit, AGI lighting software, SKM Power Tools and/or Easy Power software, MS Office

The ideal candidate will have a PE license or ability to obtain within 24 months of hire is considered a plus.
