The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Cornell University seeks a postdoctoral associate. The positions can be remote (but the home location needs to be in the United States). The position is initially available for one year with a potential renewal for a total of two years.
We seek a candidate with strong data science skills, especially in the area of Bayesian networks and optimization. Ideally this person would have a Ph.D. in computer science, operations research, applied math or a related field. The focus of this person’s research would be on the development of novel methods to link variables and functions of variables in large datasets to outcomes of interest. This work will be linked to control of large?scale systems.
