Responsible for the development of Southwestern Power Administration's (SWPA) marketing policy and Transmission Strategy, and the development, negotiation, and administration of individual power marketing policy through those contracts.

• Develop and negotiate original contracts, amendments to existing contracts, and other agreements.
• Promote good customer relations to discuss needs, develop criteria for power supply, and develop and explain contract provisions and procedures.
• Implement and administer policy for both the short-term and the long-term marketing of Federal power resources.
• Review and analyze various engineering studies and recommend auxiliary to the basic power contracts.
• Review technical requirements provided by engineers.
• Support the Public Affairs Technical Monitor, assist with the preparation and dissemination of power marketing communication materials.
