Set functional/group/department goals that are aligned with the corporate goals; regular reviews of the department team structures and effect organizational changes to ensure they meet the department and corporate goals.
Manage, track, report on the department budget and operating expenses.
Maintain organizational structure that aligns with the needs of the business and mission of the firm.
Managing and delivering against expectations with regard to completion of projects within budget, scope and timelines.
Directs, manages, and evaluates performance of teams and assigned staff; coordinates performance recommendations with other appropriate supervisors and works cooperatively on labor management.
Maintain strong focus on ensuring the effective integration of the department with other areas of the corporation; interact with peers across all other planning and project management teams, collaborating on department level or wider firm level initiatives.
Leverage technical expertise and broad experience in planning and procurement to provide guidance and direction to staff. Exercise judgment and influence on key technical decisions for a function.
Manages strategy, planning, budgeting and implementation of the Department’s digital solutions; partners with Information Technology and partners in the procurement process to achieve objectives.
Manages effective recruitment, retention and development of Department personnel; partners with Human Resources and Senior Directors of the department to achieve objectives.
Directs the planning of operational inventory; partners with the Senior Director of Purchasing and Material Management and Senior managers in Rail and Surface Transit on the operational inventory lifecycle.

Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or related field from a U.S. Department of Education accredited college or university
Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in project management, workforce deployment, and familiarity with state and federal laws and regulations required.
MBA or JD preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of management experience required including management of employees against performance metrics.
Federal or State Government / Public Procurement experience desired.
Strong oral presentation and written skills required - Communicates project status to project stakeholders through development of weekly and monthly status reports.
Experience managing department and project budgets.
Experience with implementation of an ERP system desired.
Agility with Microsoft Office Excel and Power point desired.
