Qualifications - Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field required. A working experience of the same is also acceptable for the position. PhD preferred.
- 7 years of experience, with at least 2 years in a data science and business intelligence management role, involving the development and deployment of data science and business intelligence tools, preferably in a supply chain environment
- Progressively responsible management roles with at least five years of management experience preferred
- Experience working with and creating data architectures.
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end data lifecycles across traditional data warehouses (Azure Synapse, AWS, etc.), relational databases (Oracle, SAP, SQL, etc.), business intelligence reporting (Power BI, Qlik Sense, Tableau), and big data analytics (Databricks, etc.)
- Experience querying databases and using statistical and computer languages (R, Python, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
- Experience working with large-scale data sets in a cloud-based data environment, specifically in AWS
- Demonstrated experience coaching and leading teams in data mining algorithms and statistical modeling techniques such as clustering, classification, regression, decision trees, anomaly detection, recommender systems, sequential pattern discovery, and text mining.
- Practical experience of the implementation of data stewardship, including master data management, data quality, data dictionaries and ETL tools
- Experience in big data technologies such as Hadoop, BigQuery, S3, MapReduce, Apache Spark
- Excellent communicator in both written and in-person collaborations
- Product development and management experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders throughout the organization, both technical and non-technical
- Strong storytelling skills with experience presenting to large technical and non-technical audiences all the way to the C-Suite, emphasizing translating data science outcomes into business implications
