The Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering (CCEE) Department at Iowa State University (ISU) invites applications for a part-time position of term faculty member to teach ConE 380: Engineering Law during the fall and spring semesters. Topics in this course include, but are not limited to, contract law, construction contracts, torts, professional liability, and organization of the legal system. The successful candidate is envisioned to be an enthusiastic educator who is able to use an appropriate mix of traditional and/or innovative approaches, such as online, project-based, active, and asynchronous learning, to deliver course material. The position is for a one-, two-, or three-year term with a potential for renewal. The position is not eligible for tenure, but has the potential to be reviewed for advancement into senior ranks. Candidates are expected to have an excellent record of achievement in engineering law. Candidates should have strong communication skills and share our commitment to diversity and inclusivity.
