Research and Development Staff Scientist

Position Requirements:

• PhD in genetics, biochemistry, biology, or a related field
• Coursework in genetics is required
• Laboratory experience in assay development and/or independent research is highly desirable
• Familiarity with NGS analysis, data visualization, and interpretation is desirable
• Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy in a team environment
• Ability to manage several tasks and adapt to change in a fast paced environment
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Advanced computer skills (programming, data science, etc) is highly desirable

Responsibilities:

• Execute projects and experiments efficiently (both individual and collaborative)
• Produce validation documentation to expected standards
• Work in collaboration with the Clinical Department to implement new technologies and workflows
• Interpret and present complex data
• Analyze sequencing results, including Sanger and NGS
• Other job related duties as requested by management
