The Position: The Associate Civil Engineer works independently in managing design consultants and construction contractors and oversees the design and construction of a variety of capital improvement projects, including streets, drainage, and other public facilities improvements. This position reports to the Assistant City Engineer.

Deadline to apply: 1/13/2021

Education: Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering. Familiarity with AutoCAD, and Arc GIS, is desirable.

Experience: Four years (full time or part-time equivalent) of responsible civil engineering experience. This professional work experience must include at least three (3) years working on the design or administration of public works projects. Engineering experience in a municipal agency is highly desired.

License/Certificate Requirements: Due to the performance of some field duties, which may require the operation of a personal or City vehicle, a valid California Driver’s license and an acceptable driving record are required. Possession of a current registration as a Civil Engineer in the State of California is also required.
