Licensed Engineer collaborates with others to develop engineering systems to clearly communicate engineering information to stakeholders including fellow engineers, customers, operations, sales & marketing, industry standards organizations. Create designs for new products and appropriate testing methods to ensure compliance with industry standards and company criteria. Test, document and evaluate mechanical products to verify they meet functional requirements, company guidelines for quality, margin of safety and manufacturability. The Licensed Engineer is an individual who falls under the definition of “Professional engineer” within the State of Illinois Professional Engineering Practice Act of 1989 (225 ILCS 325/).
