Develop and/or lead consultants in the design of plans for traffic control operations.
Develop Alternative Traffic Control operations to select the most efficient option(s)
Provide solutions to technical design challenges for traffic control operations.
Coordinate with construction management to ensure timely traffic control operations, compatibility with the design, and if needed coordinate the modification of design plans with the relevant design discipline in case of incompatibility.
Design of new and temporary signalization
Supervise traffic impact analysis of detours and long-term closures of highway lanes or ramps.
Conduct interpretations of commercial requirements, drawings, codes, and other similar materials.
Leads and/or performs more complex engineering design tasks on assigned projects, including engineering drawings, engineering reports and required applications to regulatory agencies
May be responsible for the review and sealing of own projects or the work of the others.
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license, or Eniineer in Training (EIT) with the ability and goal to secure PE license in the future preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience of progressive responsibility in similar positions.
Proficient in MicroStation, GEOPAK, AutoCAD, and other applicable design software.
Possess excellent time-management skills
Thorough understanding of task assignment and schedule, budgeting and efficient use of time and resources.
Ability to create and interpret sketches, drawings, and various exhibits.
