The City of Tucson is seeking a dynamic and innovative leader to serve as its next Director of Transportation. Reporting to an Assistant City Manager, the Director is responsible for the management of a FY 2018 $307 million budget and a staff of approximately 297 employees.
Strong candidates will be visionary leaders capable of advancing alternate means of transportation while efficiently operating existing mass transit and roadway systems. A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Transportation Planning, Business or Public Administration (or closely related field), and seven years of progressive management experience is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
