| MOMENTUS Space looking for a talented, highly motivated Systems Engineer with technical project leadership experience to join the spacecraft team. Systems Engineer supporting development for the spacecraft powered by our novel propulsion. Leads formal design review effort, providing guidance to subsystem engineers and interfaces with the customer. Specific responsibilities include: - Lead development of the multifunctional small spacecraft platform with high dV capabilities (more than 3 km/sec)
- Interacting, planning, and coordination with multiple discipline engineering teams, including the internal propulsion team, subcontractors and customers.
- Lead design and test spacecraft subsystems
- Interface with suppliers and oversee the manufacturing of components
- Spacecraft and subsystem level qualification and acceptance testing
Basic Qualifications - Master's degree in engineering, physics, or related engineering degree combined with related professional experience
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience with spacecraft structural design and testing, thermal design, spacecraft propulsion systems
- Experience with spacecraft assembly, integration and testing
- Experience with spacecraft assembly, integration and testing
- System level review experience (i.e., SRR, SDR, PDR or CDRs)
- Technical writing, report writing, and/or presentations
Desired skills - Experience with spacecraft systems, space propulsion - Mission operations, satellite design, or test experience - Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with customers, management and peers - Demonstrated technical leadership including planning, scheduling, and execution To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of Commerce |
