The Town Engineer is responsible for planning, administering, directing, and performing department operations including engineering and design services, budget and capital improvement planning activities, researching, analyzing and applying engineering principles and practices in accordance with municipal standards and regulations, interpreting and enforcing Federal, State and local policies, laws, regulations, and safety, overseeing the maintenance of records and files, preparing reports, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work involves setting policies and goals under the direction of the Assistant Town Manager. Departmental supervision is exercised over all personnel within the department.
