Arlington County, VA government is hiring a transit professional and leader to provide coordination and integration of the operations and capital programs of the Arlington Transit Bureau. The Bureau is responsible for the delivery of local fixed-route transit services (ART), paratransit call center and operations services (STAR), and oversight of regional rail, bus and paratransit services provided by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority within Arlington. This employee will manage the daily operations of transit services and transit capital programs under the direction of the Transit Bureau Chief and provides recommendations regarding capital project planning, FTA funding/ grant compliance and industry trends for transit service delivery.
A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration; Civil or Transportation Engineering, Urban/Public Planning or a related area and considerable highly-responsible experience in the public transit field designing, developing, constructing and/or managing transit services or transit capital projects.
