Progressive regional consulting engineering firm seeks highly motivated candidates for a Project Engineer position with extensive background in HVAC and Plumbing design in our Asheville, North Carolina, office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Position duties are varied and include assistance with project scoping, budgeting and scheduling, complete project design, and client communication.
Additionally, the position requires the application of general mechanical engineering design techniques and principles on a variety of both public and private projects.
Typical project responsibilities include report preparation, engineering computations, energy modeling, development and review of plans, technical specifications, contract documents and estimates.
Candidates should have experience working with AutoCAD for use in preparing engineering and design drawings.
Minimum Education and Requirements
Candidates should possess excellent writing and communication skills. Knowledge of commonly used computer software (Word, Excel) is expected.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university and a minimum 4 years of experience in appropriate engineering field is required.
Position requires active PE licensure for the State of North Carolina or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
