Plans, organizes and supervises professional and technical engineering work within the Public Works Department including project design, construction management, infrastructure master planning, and surveying for capital improvement projects; to manages a project team involved in the surveying, planning, design and contract management of capital projects; performs a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility; and provides highly complex staff assistance to the City Engineer or a division manager.
Experience: Six years of increasingly responsible professional civil experience including three years of supervisory and project management responsibility.
Training: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in civil or structural engineering or a closely related field.
License or Certificate: Possession of a valid certificate of registration as a professional civil engineer in the State of Oregon, OR possession of a valid certificate of Registration as a professional engineer from another state and ability to obtain the Oregon Certificate of registration within 6 months.
