WV Communications has a full-time opening for a Quality Assurance Manager/Inspector. As a small company, WV is looking for an individual that has the flexibility to perform multiple tasks in support of the quality assurance department.
The position reports directly to the President and is charged with maintaining a quality system and to assure that all products manufactured by the organization meet customer specifications and achieve superior quality and reliability levels.

Promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization;
Setting QA compliance objectives and ensuring that targets are achieved;
Assessing the product specifications of the company and its suppliers, and comparing with customer requirements;
Perform and maintain vendor ratings
Review GIDEP for counterfeit part monitoring
Ensuring compliance with national and international standards and legislation;
Maintaining controls and documentation procedures;
Identifying relevant quality-related training needs and delivering training;
Ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary;
Approval of test reports by technical staff carrying out tests and checks;
Liaising with customers' auditors and ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers' specifications;
Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports;
Perform incoming (receiving), in-process, first article, and final material inspections;
Initiate and complete all quality and inspection related records and documents with minimal supervision;
Maintain calibration of measuring equipment.

Excellent verbal and written skills;
Proficient in MS Word & Excel;
Proficient in reading and interpreting the requirements of technical drawings;
Ability to analyze drawing requirements;
Ability to make sound determination(s) of the appropriate inspection method/equipment, that will be used for product acceptance;
Ability to use all inspection/test equipment (e.g., calipers, thread gages, radius gages, height gage, microscopes, multimeter) required for determining product acceptance;
Construct simple inspection set-ups and perform required inspections (using set-up) to determine product acceptance;
Experience/knowledge of MIL-I-45208, ISO9001and AS9102 a plus.
Experience/knowledge of IPC-610-A and/or J-STD-001 standards a plus.
Knowledge in using a PDM system is a plus.
Experience: 5+ years as a Quality Assurance Manager or Inspector Education: Minimum high school or equivalent
