We are currently looking for a Quality Systems Coordinator to join our team. In this position, you will ensure the maintenance of ISO 9001 based quality management system and assist in transitioning our QMS to the ISO 9001:2015 standard. You will perform both routine and non- routine activities to support Sonetics QMS by ensuring company processes are maintained and continually improved. In addition, key responsibilities include:
Drive and monitor Internal Quality System Audits of the company according to the Audit Program and QMS Procedure.
Ensure existing QMS procedures are maintained and work cross functionally with stakeholders to update and create new procedures as necessary.
Assist in the control, and maintenance of Sonetics documents, procedures and records.
Monitor the calibration schedule and assist in performing routine gage and tool calibrations and/or schedule outside calibration in accordance with established procedures.
Assist stakeholders in documenting the context of the organization (Opportunities, Threats, Risks, Strengths and Weaknesses).
Assist stakeholders in identification and documentation of Interested Parties (Customers, Suppliers, and Regulatory requirements) and their specific needs.
Assist in the revision of the Quality Manual and QMS procedures for compliance with the ISO 9001:2015 standard.
Create and maintain reports and metrics related to Sonetics products and processes.
Assist in training employees and ensure they are aware of QMS and process requirements.
Document nonconformities and issue corrective action requests and ensure responses to CAR’s are adequate and effective.
Assist in development and completion tasks and participation in special department and interdepartmental projects.
Act as a back-up resource for incoming inspection.
Perform other work related to quality as needed.
Bachelor’s or AS degree in a technical discipline and 5+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (CIQA or other related industry certification is a plus).
Formal ISO Internal Auditor training or certification is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with production/manufacturing processes.
Previous experience training for and performing ISO based auditing. (Certified auditor is desired).
Experience maintaining structured quality management system (ISO, AS, NADCAP work experience).
Ability to support data collection and produce data reports on key metrics related to product and process reports and maintains records.
Experience in producing Flowcharts, Histograms, Pareto Charts and SPC data.
Experience writing and maintaining QMS processes and procedures.
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel to generate reports and write and edit procedures.
Previous experience training others one-on-one and/or group training.
Experience performing incoming inspections on electronic and/or mechanical parts.
Must maintain a good attendance record and be available for day shift work during our normal business hours.
